Job Description: 
Standard General Inc. is looking for two Full-Time, Seasonal Finishing Skidsteer Operators with finish grading / road-building experience. Job summary: The FINISHING SKIDSTEER OPERATOR is responsible for operating the skidsteer for road construction purposes, with the skill to meet company productions and work within specified grade tolerances. Essential duties and responsibilities: - Responsible for grading sidewalk and road base materials to fine grade specifications (as specified by project plans, survey markers, and designated gradespeople). - Responsible for equipment checks and informing mechanics and supervisors of mechanical problems with the equipment. - Responsible for indentifying hazards on site. - Must be willing and able to learn general construction practices involving road construction. - Must have a general understanding of road base materials and the associated grading techniques and practices. - Must have an understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance and ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment. - Assist with ground duties as required.
Required Skills: 
Willingness to learn and take direction required. Ability to communicate well with co-workers required. Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License (or equivalent) required. Ability to work under pressure in some situations required. Physical ability to perform all actions pertinent to operating a skidsteer and assisting with ground activities required. Willingness and ability to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies (including pre-employment Drug/Alcohol & Occupational Health testing) required. Ability to work overtime, evenings and weekends as required.
