Job Description: 
The Fath Group Do you have a passion to make a difference in Safety? Are you passionate about working with diverse individuals? We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to closely to join our safety team. This is a full-time position based at our head office, located in the West end of Edmonton. Reporting to the Safety Lead, as the successful candidate you will be required to:  Provide advice and counsel to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions, with a focus on HSE data trending  Create and advise on improvements in tracking and reporting procedures for safety data  Perform analysis of accident and injury data, identifying trends and safety management program needs  Monitoring adherence to the company safety program by employees and subcontractors  Implement, monitor & update HSE prequalification documentation  Develop Project Safety plans for clients and internal company departments  Design and write safety standards to conform to industry standards and federal, provincial and local regulations, as well as customers' contractor qualification programs  Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental, COR, and subcontractor occupational health and safety programs  Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations, and make recommendations for their implementation  Perform job site safety compliance inspections, including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations.  Research, plan, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs/seminars for supervisors and field employees, with respect to occupational safety issues and to meet local, provincial, and federal OHS requirements, as well as Environmental and NSC requirements  Perform additional assignments per management's direction. Qualifications & Experience: • Working towards certification, or already certified, in the Occupational Health & Safety profession preferred • 3-5 years' experience in Occupational Health and Safety in a related field preferred • Some experience with Road construction industry will be preferred • Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations • Familiar with inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities • Strong organizational skills and communication skills (verbal, written and visual presentation) • Proficient with presentation, database and office software • Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize • Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites Why work for Fath?  You'll work in an environment where you will be encouraged to be creative and share your best practices  Great team and amazing work culture  Competitive wages  Employer paid medical, dental and vision benefits  Make a difference for a safer construction industry!
